Department of Anatomy

The department consists of an office for a provision of three lecturers/readers, a practical laboratory and a large dissection theatre. The laboratory, which is well equipped with many fibre glass models of human structures to teach the students with the exact anatomy even if the original structure is not present. It fascinates students about learning along with helping them to start learning from very primitive level. The laboratory also consists of over 20 preservation units of various visceral organs which assist students to study fine microscopic structures. The lab consists of two assembled full skeletons and many bone sets which makes the bone study handy for the students. The dissection hall is ideally made to provide all the dissection facilities capable to dissect seven bodies at a time and a deep freezing unit for dead body preservation up to a capacity of four bodies.
